This is the fourth book in Zeke and Siren's story and these do need to be read in order. There is lots of emotional turmoil, tension and twists layered thickly throughout this piece of this couple's tale. To say that the situation and relationship is complicated is like saying rain is wet, so try to prepare yourself for the roller coaster ride you are going on. This book does end on a cliffhanger and a wait for book five.

This latest installment felt different to me. We learn more about Lucy and her relationship with Zeke. You also have the push & pull of Zeke and Aria’s relationship. The story does move forward but I felt there was a whole lot of fluff in this book. It almost felt like it was used as a filler. The author knew she had to have 6 installments and in order to stretch out the story until book 6, she used this one to fill with stuff that didn’t necessarily needed to be written. There are some definite key scenes but I feel like they could have been a good many chapters left out. I’m ready for the story to get where it’s going and have a solid finish. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Every time I finish a book in this world, I discover that I know all kinds of new swear words that I didn’t realize I knew. The story sucked me deep into the seething emotions, the promises made and broken, and the betrayals. There’s very little I can say about the details of the book that won’t be considered spoilers. What I can say with certainty is that at the end of this book I’m emotionally exhausted, my mind is broken, my heart is bleeding, and I can’t wait for the next book to be published so I can do it all over again. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
