About this ebook

‘Some days I feel like I’ve lived more than one lifetime, so, couldn’t we be right for each other this time around?’

Everyone is talking about this book:

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐‘What an absolute page-turner!...keeps you guessing before pulling off THE PERFECT ending!’ Anita

‘Such a warm, lovely read with two characters you’re desperately rooting for’ Cesca Major, author of Maybe Next Time

‘It's a total belter... I loved the slow burn and just the warmth and funniness of the writing. Was gagging for them to get it together’ Kirsty Greenwood, author of Big Sexy Love

Becca and Charlie have known each other since university.
Becca and Charlies have also hated each other since university.

Until now. Until Ally’s bucket list. The death of their loved one should mean they can go their separate ways and not look back. But completing the list is something neither of them can walk away from.

And sometimes, those who bring out the worst in you, also bring out the very best...

Over the course of ten years, Becca and Charlie’s paths collide as they deal with grief, love and life after Ally.

Not since Emma and Dex in One Day and Will and Lou in Me Before You will you root for a couple as much.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐‘I absolutely adored this book!! It gave me the emotions that crushed me in P.S. I Love You, the longing and the push/pull relationship that I adored inOne Day’ Renee

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ‘I unequivocally LOVED this book...for anyone who loves a romance that isn't twee or cookie cutter, with an impossibly perfect heroine’ Fiona

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐‘An absolute joy...Laugh out loud funny in places and desperately poignant in others but thankfully not in the least bit soppy’ Sarah

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐‘Made my heart ache...there are twists & turns I didn’t expect’ Stephanie

Ten Years by Pernille Hughes is an emotional, haunting and realistic read. The book follows the journey of Becca and Charlie, who were Ally's best friend and fiance, respectively. As they tick off the list over the years, we get an understanding of who they are. The push and pull between the protagonists reflect a range of human emotions, and the ending is gratifying. Thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter for giving me an ARC. This honest review is left voluntarily.

Some books you read and enjoy but then a day or two later you are a bit fuzzy on the details, whereas its nearly a week after I read this book and it has all come flooding back. I thoroughly enjoyed this, snarky behaviour, humour and sadness all wrapped up together in a thoughtful romance.

About the author

Before she moved to writing full-time, Pernille (pronounced Pernilla) Hughes studied Film & Literature at university. After graduating she went into advertising and later on to market Natural History films before working in Children’s television, which meant living in actual Teletubbyland for a while! From 2011–2015, she was a regular contributor for the Sunday Times column ‘Confessions of a Tourist’.

Pernille lives in Buckinghamshire and while the kids are at school she scoffs cake and writes stories in order to maintain a shred of sanity.
