About the author

Tracey McFarlane Mirande is an Olympic medalist and former World Champion and the holder of several NCAA records. After her successful competitive career, she went on to coach swimmers of all ages, including adult Masters swimmers, and is now a licensed physical therapist. She lives in Orlando, Florida.

Kathlene Bissell is an author, a swimmer with 25 years of experience, and a former Masters swimming student under Mirande. She lives in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
