About this ebook

Outfoxed?

I'm Kira Fairwood, rogue kitsune and couch-surfer extraordinaire. Three months after disowning my pack, I'm still trying to find a way home.

Then a way home finds me. All I have to do is follow the advice of a murderer, trespass on an enemy alpha's territory, and nab a stranger who shares my fox heritage.

Thom thinks it's a terrible idea, but he puts his not-quite-pack on the line to help anyway. Now, if I fail, I'll drag my new friends down with me.

What could possibly go wrong?

Rogue Moon is the second book a "fast-paced" and "intriguing" new series that begins with Full Moon Saloon.

Rogue Moon, Aimee Easterling's second novel in her Kira Fairwood series, is a wonderful shifter tale. The storyline is fast-paced and well written, filled with kitsune magic, werewolves, danger, murder, intrigue, subterfuge, pack politics and quirky romance. Kira's story is definitely unique, a kitsune fox shifter living both around humans and werewolves, while trying desperately to hang on to her own heritage. The characters are well developed and engaging. Thom is a strong alpha werewolf who will do anything necessary to protect Kira, even from herself. Overall, this is a good, strong story, showcasing well the differences between honor and duty and love and obsession. I am definitely looking forward to reading more to see where Kira's adventures lead.

Aimee Easterling reliably delivers fun shifter stories with exciting plots. This is the second book in the Kira Fairwood series, and although it could stand alone, I recommend reading the books in order. Grab your bowl of popcorn because this book is suspenseful, action-filled fun. It features kitsune, one of my favorite paranormal creatures (and one that doesn't get very much attention), as well as Ms. Easterling's delightful take on wolf shifters and pack dynamics. This relatively quick read effortlessly captured and held my interest. It was fast-paced with an exciting, action-filled plot and several mysteries that presented some unexpected twists as our heroine Kira struggles to find a missing member of her extended family and a missing teenage girl while navigating wolf pack politics and trying to protect a mysterious source of kitsune magic. I really like the characters in this series. Kira can be impulsive, and her tendency to jump to conclusions and take actions without thinking things through often gets her into trouble, but that’s all part of the fun. Her love interest, Thom, is a cinnamon roll hero, and I love watching him learn how to be a proper alpha and work with Kira to protect those they love. I volunteered to review an advanced reader copy of this book provided to me by the author. If you enjoy contemporary fantasy or paranormal mystery/suspense with a slow-burn romance, give this series a try.

I received a free copy of Rogue Moon and what a treat it was! After reading the first book in the series about Kira Fairwood, Full Moon Saloon, I was excited to get the second part and to enjoy Kira's adventures. Fast paced and imaginative, it was another great glimpse of the world of kitsune and werewolves. Highly recommended!

About the author

Aimee Easterling wasn't raised by wolves, but she did spend the first ten years of her life running wild in their habitat. Since then, she's backpacked across three continents, spent over a decade homesteading half a mile from the nearest road, and now unearths excitement amid fictional werewolf packs. Her USA Today bestselling books straddle the line between urban fantasy and paranormal romance...because everyone deserves a pack, a mate, and an adventure.
