This is the first book I read by Ms LeClair, and it certainly won’t be the last. I truly loved it. The story centers around Cassidy James McCall. A young woman that left the love of her life, in order to pursue a career as a country singer. When she was reaching the stars, life threw her more than one curveball and now she is back home in Honor, TX, hoping to recover her voice and self-worth. Literally by accident, she crashes into Ryder Hadley . The man she let go and left behind. He is now a widower with a young child that idolizes Cassidy. Feelings are still there for both, but neither wants to have his daughter hurt, nor do they want to go through the pain of letting go once again. While the plot, the main characters as well as the secondary characters, were well developed, what I liked best was the underlying message. It’s a story reminding us that when we are down, someone is there to help us. That love and family are what’s really important and that with a little faith in us , God and others, life should be lived and treasured. A lovely reminder not only during the holiday season, but all year long. I was gifted this book by Tule Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I loved this story. It's a great second chance story with a rugged cowboy who's a single father and a country music star who is dealing with some tough issues that could put her future in music at risk. Cassidy and Ryder have a history and Ryder knows that he has to be careful or he'll be back under Cassidy's spell and she'll break his heart all over again but his daughter is a big fan so spending time with Cassidy is inevitable. This is a great story as Ryder and Cassidy work through the past while trying to figure out what the future holds. Definitely a recommended read.

I love to read books about Christmas, even when it is not anywhere close to Christmas time. This is one of those books that I will be reading and reading time and time again. There is just something about it that drew me in. Yes it is a romance and yes it is a book based around the holiday season but there is also laughter and just a plain good second chance romance from the heart. There is something about second chance love stories that are extra special and if they include children... all the better. I received an advanced copy of this book but it did not have anything to do with how I liked or didn't like this story at all. Any story with a pet horse named Sweet Potato in it has to be good to read right? Well, Gramps has a pet horse, No Lie and she goes everywhere with him. She is a miniature horse but a horse nonetheless. Cassidy ,Molly and Ryder have a wonderful story to tell. I hope you enjoy it like I did.
