I spent many many days at the Sabbath day Lake Shaker Village as a Child. My uncle was a shaker before he renounced his faith to marry. The three remaining shakers became a large part of my childhood story and made an impact in my life much in a way that the older shakers did in the main character, lydia's childhood. Though the shaker village has gone through many changes over the years, their values, beliefs and purpose remain the same and I wish them good luck and god bless. ♡
