Nicole's Book Musings
This is the fourth book in the series and I've been eagerly awaiting Dash's book. He surprised me in the best of ways. His life is turned upside down with the latest scare his lifestyle has caused. He did a lot of soul searching in this one to realize what he really wants from life. He made a mess of things the first round with Cassidy now fate has given him a second chance. He can't blow it now when a happy future is on the line. I really liked Cassidy. She so deserves all the happiness since life has been giving blow after blow to knock her down. Though she has such inner strength to keep getting back up. She sees the side of Dash that makes him so desirable. This was an enjoyable read. I love the Kingston family. I'm invested in this family!

JUST ONE SPARK is the fourth instalment in Carly Phillips’ contemporary, adult KINGSTON FAMILY erotic, romance series focusing on the Kingston siblings: Linc, Xander, Dash, Chloe and Aurora. This is the lead singer for the rock band Original Kings Dash Kingston, and PA Cassidy Forrester’s story line. JUST ONE SPARK can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Told from dual third person perspectives (Dash and Cassidy) JUST ONE SPARK follows the building romance and relationship between rock star Dash Kingston, and PA Cassidy Forrester. Several months earlier Dash had a one night stand with his brother’s fiancee’s best friend and PA Cassidy, and ghosted her the next morning. Fast forward to present day wherein Cassidy Forrester has been hired to be the personal assistant to the Original Kings but a scandal was about to rock Dash Kingston’s world, and our heroine would be caught in the middle of the fall-out. As Dash and Cassidy work together to clean up our hero’s personal image, a fake-fiancee relationship between our leading couple is what their publicist has in mind. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship and romance between Dash and Cassidy, and the potential fall-out as Dash’s past reveals a secret the Kingston family has kept close to their heart. Cassidy Forrester is both a personal assistant and a creative director, and as such is over qualified to babysit the members of the Original Kings but Cassidy continues to be pulled in to the aura that is Dash Kingston, an aura with a palpable sexual attraction between our leading couple. Having loved and lost, betrayal is front and foremost on Cassidy’s mind, especially when Dash’s reputation on tour precedes his introduction to our story line heroine. Dash Kingston knows he has to stop his womanizing ways, and a close call is the exact trigger to stop our hero in his track but Dash has never stopped thinking about Cassidy Forrester, the one woman from whom he should have never walked away. Cassidy and Dash’s rekindling relationship is fraught with issues of trust from our story line heroine but once Dash reveals the truth about his past, Cassidy is both guardian and protector of our hero’s heart. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text. Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including the members of the Original Kings: lead guitarist Jagger, Mac the bassist, and Cassidy’s brother and the band’s new drummer Axel Forrester : Xander and Sasha (Just One Chance), Linc and Jordan (Just One Night), Aurora Kingston, and their mother Melly; publicist Naomi, and band manager Dean. Aurora’s story line is next in JUST ONE DARE. JUST ONE SPARK is a story of family and forgiveness, relationships and second chances, friends and love. The premise is engaging and entertaining; the romance is provocative and erotic; the characters are energetic and captivating.

***4.5 Stars*** I gotta say this was a fun ride. It was sweet, funny and smexy and there were some great moments between all of the Kingston fam and those they call their own. I already loved Cassidy because of all that went down in Just One Chance, but getting to go deeper and see how strong she really is was a lot of fun. Dash was the one that had me going hmmm because of some of the things he did, but I really enjoyed seeing him evolve and do everything he could do simply be better. Their second chance journey was a lot of fun. The chemistry was already there, and watching Dash show Cassidy, in various ways, that not only was he changing his own life around, but that he truly liked her and wanted more was all kinds of sweet, smexy and fun and I really liked how everything turned out for them. This was another great addition to the series. Outside of Cassidy and Dash’s journey, I really enjoyed seeing how the relationships within the Kingston family evolved and how close they all are. And up next is Aurora, which I am all kinds of excited to get my hands on and see her finally get her HEA! ~ Copy provided by the author & voluntarily reviewed ~
