About this ebook

Can a grumpy former Ranger find lasting happiness in a marriage of convenience with a sunny single mom?

After losing his leg, former Army Ranger Holt Steele is building a new life and a new business with his friends. Sure, he never expected to put small-town baker on his resume, but he finds he likes the quiet, simple life. If only he didn't like the sunny single mom who works across the street--or her adorable kid--quite so much.

After escaping a controlling husband, event planner Cayla Black has one focus--growing her business and maintaining a safe, happy home for her daughter. She has no time or interest in a man. Not even one who charms her child with Disney songs and keeps turning up like a mind-reader to help without being asked.

But when her ex's conviction is overturned on a technicality, and he shows up intending to reclaim his wife and child, Holt intervenes with an outrageous lie. The only way to fix it is to make his falsehood the truth. As they struggle to convince everyone that their marriage of protection is real, these two reluctant hearts fall deeper, until the lines between the fiction and the dream begin to blur, and they have to risk it all to protect the family they didn't know they wanted.

I totally have a crush on Holt. He's a bit gruff on the outside, but he has a marshmallow center. With his military skills and ability to sing Disney songs, he is the perfect mix of tough and soft. He's so easy to love. Cayla had such a horrible experience with her first marriage. When Cayla needed help, Holt steps up immediately. I love how their relationship evolved. They fit so well together. The story pulls out all the emotions and includes some mystery. I can't wait for the next.

ARC for honest review with no compensation Received from BookSprout Wrapped Up with a Ranger is book 2 in the Bad Boy Bakers series by Kait Nolan with all the feels. Up next is Holt Steele, Cayla Black and her adorable daughter Maddie. What starts as a fake marriage to protect Cayla and Maddie from her ex husband turns into more…lots of chemistry, swoon worthy hero, baggage, challenges and a mystery yet to be solved. Can’t wait for the last bad boy baker, Jonah!

This is the second book in the Bad Boy Bakers series, and this is just as good, if not better than the first! Wrapped Up With A Ranger was gripping from the very beginning, with fabulous characters and an engaging storyline. Former Army Ranger Holt Steele and single mum, Cayla Black (and her precious little girl, Maddie), were definitely attracted to each other, but circumstances outside their control finally gave them the push they needed to give their relationship a try.
