What a way to dangle a carrot! Just when I think we're gonna get some answers, we get more questions. This is book twelve in the serial - a serial that hooked me from the beginning, and as the tension builds, so does that hook. I just love this world that Becca Fanning has built, and the more I know about these characters, the more I want to know. Each addition to the serial is a quick read, but the author certainly knows how to pack a punch and leave a reader wanting more. This is a continuing story, so we have another cliffy, and this one's a doozy. I can't wait to see what Fiona will do with what she's learned.

I gave it 5 stars ONLY bc I love the overall series so far. but this book was actually kind of a mess. last book ended with a a date supposed to be happening with Dracus but it didn't. they already had a meeting about a traitor in the officials in a previous book but then they hold it in this book like that didn't already happen. in fact in previous book they also said there's a traitor IN the school but when Fiona mentions bomb being an inside job they're all dismissing it and saying no one would do that ever. then Fiona was annoying too! considering maybe she belongs with the murderous slayers bc she's not a shifter. like whaaat but then she does a 180 being scared that her family is tied to them when she just considered joining them. love the series but this book has me questioning if I want to continue.

This fast paced read is the twelfth book in the series and continues in the saga. The characters face real danger, have secrets, experience ups and downs. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
