Good character development and fabulous humour. Not enough intrigue for my taste. I like my police procedurals fast paced and dotted with amazing clues. Proceeded too ploddingly and I didn't like the main female character for very long. Dark humour swiftly dissipated leaving her annoying and whiny.

This is possibly the slowest book I have ever read. Too much character development and not enough focusing on the actual crime for my liking.
