Sick Mum and Feral Laundry Machines This is a cute middle-grade short story co-written by an author mother and her two children. In the story, the kids are trying to help mom when she is not feeling so well, but the washing machine seems to take on a life of its own. There is even a shorter story after the main one written by the author’s ten-year-old son. I loved how the kids were trying to help out when Mom wasn't feeling well, first bringing her water and the medicine box to help her feel better and then trying to sort out the laundry themselves. I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

About the author

Renee Conoulty is an author, military wife, mother of two and chief laundry washer. She generally listens to audiobooks while doing the laundry so may or may not hear the machine turn feral.

Tom Conoulty is a ten-year-old big brother and player of video games. He can be easily persuaded to go outside and play on his scooter and is good at doing his chores (for money, if you remind him).

Molly Conoulty is an eight-year-old little sister who loves watching TV, playing with her kitten and helping Mum. Molly also helped co-write Best Friends for Now.
