About the author

Dr Madhura Yadav, Dean of the Faculty of Design at Manipal University Jaipur, is an accomplished architect and planner with over 29 years of experience in academia, research, and administration. She has worked on various projects of diverse scales and has received several accolades for her work, including the Asia Pacific Global Award 2017, Education Leadership Award 2019, and Indo Pacific Architecture Excellence Award 2021. Her research interests include sustainable architecture, inclusive cities, and community-based participatory research.

Dr Sampath Kumar, Director of the School of Design and Art at Manipal University Jaipur, is a seasoned textile engineer with experience in design. His research includes braiding, natural fibers, handloom and handicrafts, geosynthetics, technical textiles, and fashion garments. Dr Sampath has worked at various engineering and design institutes as well as corporate sectors in skill development, and has written 45 modules for the Ministry of Labour.
