The characters are little more than cardboard stereotypes. The main character falls for a con man for no obvious reason. This is just an awful exercise in 'writing'. The descriptions of the food are the high points, and still don't do much to advance the narrative.

An unlikely romance crossed with a murder (also rather unlikely). All wrapped up in a coincidental set of circumstances for an unlikely last minute realization of who was the murderer and the rescue of the heroine from the murderer.
