Her Guardian Angel: A Demonica Underworld/Masters and Mercenaries Novella

Next up I read in the Master and Mercenaries crossover series I get to is Her Guardian Angel by Larissa Ione. This is my first read by this author. I will read some paranormal romance books, but not a whole lot. They need to grasp my attention and make it somewhat believable. Larissa does that with bringing Suzanne and Declan together. This story had me hooked from the get go. When Declan thought he was the one protecting, Suzanne turns the table on him. Towards the end we learn the truth about what Declan's past brings. And the sexy times scenes, almost had my kindle combusting lol. Great story with a lot of twists and turns! I am so excited to continue next with the other books. This crossover is rocking it and my new addiction with these craze fanfare books!!

4 Star Review of Her Guardian Angel This is part of the current Lexi Blake Crossover Collection and written by an Larissa Ione who is a new author to me. I am extremely familiar with Lexi Blake and happily admit that the Master & Mercenaries series is one of my all time favourite series. With that being stated, I was anxious to see how these books would meld into the M & M world. Declan Burke is a professional bodyguard for McKay-Taggart. He takes his work and play seriously and will not mix business with pleasure. That is until he meets Suzanne D’Angelo (an earthbound angel) who apparently needs protection from a stalker. In reality it is Suzanne who is trying to protect Declan from a demon. The attraction Declan feels for Suzanne is electric and she tempts him to break his own rules.The awareness and chemistry is mutual and they both fight hard to ignore the pull, but eventually give in. Will danger pull these two apart of will they work together to destroy those who are trying to keep them apart? I do think it would be beneficial to have been familiar with the authors Demonica Underworld series prior to reading this book , however having said that I did enjoy the crossover and although I was a tad confused on occasion, found that it did not deeply impact on my ability to read and enjoy the book.

Declan works security for McKay-Taggart however the last thing he wants is to guard a pampered rich socialite with a stalker. His past experiences with these types of clients have not gone well but he has never met someone like Suzanne. Suzanne is an angel but rather than needing protection she has arranged the situation so that she can protect him from the supernatural evil forces that are out to hurt him. They both are assigned to protect the other and they know that they should be keeping their relationship strictly business but the chemistry and connection between them make that a challenge. As Suzanne draws him into a world that he previously thought only existed in people’s imaginations it causes him to rethink everything he ever knew and neither of them will ever be the same. I enjoyed these characters as they are both strong and independent and all they wanted was to keep each other safe.
