About the author

Minda Harts is the CEO of The Memo, a career development platform that helps women of color prepare for their seat at the table by providing resources, curriculum, and access. This is her first book. Minda is a well connected, sought after speaker and thought-leader in the business world, frequently invited to speak on the topics of Advancing Women of Color, Leadership, Diversity, and Entrepreneurship. In 2016, Minda was nominated as a Changemaker by the Former First Lady, Michelle Obama, for her work advancing women of color in the workplace. She was also chosen by General Assembly to serve as one of their Dream Mentors, alongside women like Cindy Gallop. Minda holds a BA in Communication and an MA in Management from Western Illinois University. She has also attended UCLA, Northwestern, and Harvard for continuing education certifications in global leadership. Minda is originally from Southern California, the oldest of three children, and is the first in her family to graduate from college. She currently resides in New York City with her French Bulldog.
