“Handbook of Pre Intermediate Grammar: Learning English Grammar with Fun” introduces basic concepts of grammar at pre-intermediate level and provides learning English grammar in an interesting and fun way. The book consists of nine chapters, they are: Past Simple, Present Perfect, Passive of Past Simple, Passive of Present Perfect, Passive of Present Simple, Passive of Present Continuous, Passive of Present Future, Relative Clause, and Noun Clause. There are three part of each chapters:

Part I: Learning from Joke. There are boxes of joke dialogue as the topic discussion followed by explanation about the basic concepts of the topic.

Part II: Brief Exploration. Contains definition, examples, and brief explanation about the topic chapter.

Part III: Exercise. There are 6 types of exercises available in this section.

About the author

Asfi Aniuranti is a lecturer at the English Language Teaching (ELT) Department, Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Purwokerto in Central Java, Indonesia. She took her undergraduate program (ELT Department) at Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto and master program (Linguistics Department) at Universitas Gadjah Mada. Her research interest is in TEFL and Linguistics. She has written several books such as ‘British vs American English’ (2016), ‘Buku Pintar Pelajaran 5 in 1’ (2017), 'English for Nursing Jilid II’ (2018), and Smart Master: English Vocabs (2020). Some of her articles have also been published in accredited journals such as Digital Teaching Tools in 21st Century EFL Classroom: Are Our Teachers Ready? (2018), Teaching English allomorphs through ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secret’ movie (2020), An Investigation of Errors Committed by the Students of English Language Teaching Department in Writing Narrative Text (2020), and The Implementation of Literary Works for Promoting Student Involvement in Learning English Grammar (2021).

M. Happy Nur Tsani is a lecturer in English Language Teaching Department (ELT), Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Purwokerto, Central Java, Indonesia. He took his undergraduate program in ELT Department of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto and graduate program in English Language Teaching (ELT) Department of Universitas Negeri Surabaya. His research interest is in TEFL.

Yasinta Wulandari is a lecturer at the English Language Teaching (ELT) Department, Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Purwokerto in Central Java, Indonesia. She took her undergraduate program (ELT Department) at Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto and master program (Applied Linguistics Department) at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Her research interest is in TEFL. Some of her articles are The Implementation of Literary Works for Promoting Student Involvement in Learning English Grammar (2021) and An Investigation of Errors Committed by the Students of English Language Teaching Department in Writing Narrative Text (2020)
