About this ebook

Book 1, Second Chances Time Travel Romance Series

Jake Owens is tired of the cowboy life on his parents’ Montana ranch, catering to city folk who want a taste of old-fashioned country living. He enjoys life in the fast lane, with fast cars and even faster women. When he falls in with the wrong crowd and is accused of murder, a stranger’s bizarre offer at a second chance might be his only hope to clear his name.

Rachel Parker is highly devoted to her family. A tragedy prompts a daring move to the Oregon Territory for a fresh start in a new land. After meeting the wagon train’s scout, the meaning of a fresh start may be more than she ever imagined.

Jake doesn't believe in time travel, or that he’s been sent back in time to act as scout for a wagon train along the Oregon Trail. He's also been given the added burden of keeping one emigrant woman safe during the journey. He and Rachel are confused by their attraction to each other. Jake’s ill-mannered, unconventional ways are overshadowed only by his notorious reputation. Rachel’s traditional values and quiet, responsible character are the complete opposite of what attracts Jake to a woman. When their forbidden attraction turns to love, what will happen at the end of the trail?

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The time travel aspect is a bit strange however I'm strangely attracted to the concept. The depicitions of life in 1848 seems totally plausible and the author developed the characters beautifully. Rachel and Jake were strong yet vulnerable and the little 'twit' with her outrageous mother made an appearance. I look forward to reading more stories from Peggy. Thanks for several enjoyable evenings.

Nice story. Though bit streched. Could have been bit short. It ends on positive note. That's a good thing. Present to past to present smooth transition. All in all gives you wagon train n ranch both.

Very enjoyable time travel story about a man given a second chance in life if he agrees to "help" in a project, not knowing he'll be sent to 1848 and the project is to be a scout for the Oregon trail. But the lovely Rachel is a major problem.

I never thought I'd be a writer, much less publish a book someday. I always wanted to be a veterinarian. I guess life just had other plans for me. When my husband and I decided to start a family, vet school pretty much went out the window. I used to work with a vet who had three children while going through vet school. To this day, she is my hero.

I'm married to my high school sweetheart, and together with our two sons, we make our home in Southern California. Our family also includes a Labrador Retriever, a welsh pony, a miniature horse, three cats, four bearded dragons, and a flock of laying hens. Almost every summer since my husband and I graduated from high school, we spend two weeks camping in Yellowstone National Park.

Four years ago, I began writing a story that, for whatever reason, was stuck in my head for almost a year. I have been an avid romance reader for a long time, and the idea took hold to - why not? - write my own!

It has been a long and difficult journey and learning experience from my first sentence to a completed, and hopefully polished, manuscript.

The story, titled Yellowstone Heart Song, is set in the Rocky Mountain region which today encompasses Yellowstone National Park. It takes place decades before the area was even known to white men, a time just after Lewis and Clark, before the mountain man era was in full swing.

The story has turned into the Yellowstone Romance Series, with five books and two novellas published to date, and more to come.

My other time travel romance series is called Second Chances, with three books published so far. I also completed a historical romance trilogy, called the Teton Romance Trilogy, which is set in the Grand Tetons and begins during the time of the Fur Trapper era.

I'm currently in the planning stages of another mountain man time travel series, which will be a spin-off of the Yellowstone Series, as well as a new series of western historical romance.

I want to send a special thank you to all my readers. Thank you for taking the time to write reviews and to email me, leave messages on my blog, and find me on facebook. I wish I could thank each and every one of you personally. My email address can be found at the back of each of my books, and I will always make the time to respond. Thank you for making my journey as a writer such an awesome experience.
