About the author

Robert L. Peurifoy was Professor Emeritus at the University of Texas-Austin. He authored many books and pioneered the study of construction engineering as an academic discipline.

Clifford J. Schexnayder is an Eminent Scholar Emeritus at the Del E. Webb School of Construction at Arizona State University. He is a founder of ASCE’s Construction Institute and a former chairman of the Transportation Research Board’s Construction Section.

Robert L. Schmitt is a Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

Aviad Shapira is a Professor of Construction Engineering and Management in the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.
