About this ebook

Coldtown is dangerous. A prison for the damned and those who party with them.
From the New York Times bestselling author of The Cruel Prince comes a deliciously dark YA novel for fans of Twilight and The Vampire Diaries.

Tana lives in a world where walled cities called Coldtowns exist. In them, quarantined monsters and humans mingle in a decadently bloody mix of predator and prey. It's an eternal party, shown on TV 24 hours a day - gorgeous, glamorous and deadly! The only problem is, once you pass through Coldtown's gates, you can never leave ...

When Tana wakes up one morning after a perfectly ordinary party, she finds herself surrounded by corpses. The only other survivors of the massacre are her ex-boyfriend, infected and on the edge, and a mysterious boy burdened with a terrible secret. Shaken and determined, Tana enters a race against the clock to save the three of them the only way she knows how: by going straight to the heart of Coldtown itself.

A wholly original story of rage and revenge, love and loathing from bestselling and critically acclaimed author of The Spiderwick Chronicles and The Folk of the Air series, Holly Black.

Really enjoying Holly Black's books. However the only let down in this one is the lack of being proof read. The typing errors are both a let down and an annoyance during the story. Pretty dissapointing with regards to the price of the book- I've read a better standard for less... IF you can get past the mistakes and doubled words it's another great read from Holly Black.

I really wanted to read this book but the amazing laziness of how it was converted to e-book format makes it impossible. It is almost completely void of punctuation. The complete lack of quotation marks (seriously, there is not ONE in the 3 chapters I managed to read before I gave up in disgust) makes it impossible to tell when a character speaks and on at least every other page there are 2 to 3 words stuck together without spaces making it more like a soul destroying word puzzle than a novel. Unreadable.

It is just badly edited or my copy is faulty, but it was a pain, maneuvering through oceans of typos and missing apostrophes. The story itself took some warming up to (I know, I'm hilarious). I loved it, especially the last third of it. Well done.
