This is the prequel to the new series Special Ops Scots. This introduces us to a few of the characters, but specifically Alex and Ciara. Ciara and Alex share a train ride and a delay together. They feel an instant connection so they hate to say goodbye to one another. This fast read has piqued my interest in this series. I'm also glad we don't have to say a complete goodbye to Glenlaig either. I can't for the first full length book in the series and get the rest of Alex and Ciara's story.

Alxs is back from serving his country and trying to adjust to civilian life. Ciara is just about to finish her studies but is lost and does not know what to do with her future. One passionate night that points to future promises. One startling discovery! What will come next? I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series, Ms. Nolan did it again! Ciara and Alex meet by chance on a train and have an immediate connection. Ciara gets off the train in her hometown and Alex decides to delay his travel to his final destination to spend a special night with Ciara. He travels on to Glenlaig and the two hope to see each other again. But a surprise awaits Alex when he arrives at his destination. I won’t ruin that surprise but this is just the start of what is sure to be a great story. I can’t wait for the continuation.
