I received an ARC of Entangled's Falling for her Enemy by Victoria James via NetGalley. The story is priceless. The emotion powerful. When Hayden discovers a long lost child he has never known exists, he is determined to take care of his duties as a father. His search and subsequent discovery of his daughter brings him in contact with Alex. Alex is not what he expects. She will stop at nothing to make sure that her daughter feels loved, wanted and has all the things she longed for as a child. The best of intentions can make for the most heartbreaking of situations. However, miracles do happen and with a little bit of fate, a whole lot of love and understanding, along with the help of a special little girl Hayden and Alex discover family is a bond that is more than just genetics. It's heartfelt.

Wary of letting anyone in, Alex McAllister always dreamed of a life filled with the laughter and love of a family which has her struggling with the magnetic pull she feels toward the handsome stranger who claims he’s the father of her adopted daughter in this gripping contemporary romance. Hayden Brooks had never wanted to be a father but now he’s facing his daughter’s stunning adopted mother and the reader can’t help but lose their heart to Alex and Hayden as they struggle with unfamiliar feelings just in time for Christmas. The chemistry between Hayden and Alex is a simmering heat just waiting to explode as they warily dance around each other with the major hurdle between them really threatening to keep them apart which leads to some pretty emotional encounters that grip the readers by their heart. Strong compelling characters draw the readers in and refuse to let go while the fast paced, smooth flowing and well written plot captivates readers with suspense, turmoil and romance with expectation building lots of tension throughout the story as Alex and Hayden await the outcome of the paternity test while struggling with their desires. I was completely captivated by Alex and Hayden’s story and I couldn’t help but lose my heart to the situation and since there is nothing more satisfying than well-deserved HEA, I can’t wait to read the next Still Harbor romance.

Alex McAllister has built a good life for her and her adopted daughter Cassie. While it's not without it's challenges they are happy and that's what matters. All that is threatened when a knock on the door brings a man in to their lives who claims he might be Cassie's father. Hayden Brooks is rich, powerful, and devastatingly handsome. He never planned on being a father but if Cassie is his, he plans on being there for her and raising her himself. After getting Alex to agree to a paternity test and waiting for the results, Hayden spends time with Alex and Cassie and comes to realize what an incredible bond they have and that he desperately wants to share in that bond. Can he change his life to accommodate them? Will Alex let him regardless of the test results? This is a wonderful story filled with great characters. It's a happy light read that you won't be able to put down. I highly recommend it.
