About this ebook

महाभारत ज्ञान का असीम भंडार है। यह ऐसा धार्मिक ग्रंथ है, जो राजनीति के सिद्धांतों का भी प्रतिपादन करता है तथा साथ ही जीवन-दर्शन के विभिन्न अंगों की व्याख्या भी। यही नहीं, यह प्राचीन आर्य संस्कृति का इतिहास भी प्रस्तुत करता है। इसी कारण इसे ‘पांचवां वेद’ भी माना गया है। इस महाकाव्य में 1,00,217 श्लोक हैं, जिन्हें 18 पर्वों में बांटा गया है। इस ग्रंथ का आरंभिक नाम था-‘जय’। कालांतर में इसे ‘भारत पुराण’ का नाम दे दिया गया और बाद में यह महाकाव्य ‘महाभारत’ के नाम से विख्यात हो गया। इस पुस्तक में महाभारत ग्रंथ से संबंधित विभिन्न रोचक और ज्ञानवर्द्धक कथाओं का संग्रह किया गया है, जो पाठकों का निश्चित ही जीवन-मार्गदर्शन करेंगी।
