Having bore witness to the brilliance of seasons 1-4 of the showtime series then the mindbending train wreck that was series 5-8 I'm deciding to give the books a try. The series takes an interesting twist into the supernatural that completely divided the fan demographic. I can see why people hated it, and I honestly didn't mind right until the last 10 pages or so, where it all kind of falls apart with some clumsy exposition and an unsatisfying ending. Still, solid humour and wit makes this one to recommend.
