About this ebook

Lights of Lowell book 1. Tapestry of Hope weaves together the heartrending and hope-building stories of two young women. Jasmine Wainwright is the sheltered daughter of a Mississippi plantation owner. When her father strikes a deal to sell his cotton to Lowell mills through businessman Bradley Houston, he throws an arranged marriage with Jasmine into the bargain. Kiara O'Neill and her brother escape starvation in Ireland by traveling to America as Bradley Houston's indentured servants. But Bradley has more in mind for Kiara than she wants to imagine. Both women suffer in the home of this unloving husband and merciless master. Will God somehow bring hope to their lives?

Is a book woven with truths, about what God is, in a world where struggles and circumstances, make us wonder if God is really helping us at all. He always will be. We just don't always see it, until after all the bad occurs. Trusting him while you are in it is hard, but worth the effort.

The book takes the reader on a journey during the early industrialization period which is permeated with a young woman's emotional and spiritual growth into maturity. It's a good story though drawn out at times with odd transitions in weaving the story together. There are unanswered questions which leaves the reader wondering what happens next. It will be interesting to read the next book.

Oh what a wonderful book! The characters and story were told with such a depth of emotion. I read this book in one sitting, I could not tear myself away not even to sleep! I'm sad to have it end but am looking forward to the next book. I will definitely be on the lookout for more from this author!
