Word of the Day: From the Book of Romans

Sherol L. Southerland is an ordained minister, minister of Christian education, educator, mentor, consultant, and author. She earned her Bachelor of Arts (English) and Master of Teaching degrees at Virginia Commonwealth University, along with a minor in English as a second language, and post-master’s certificates in educational leadership and reading specialist. Sherol is currently a doctoral student in educational psychology at VCU. As an educator and minister of the Gospel, she is passionate about teaching and strives to encourage and empower people to be their best authentic selves. Sherol is owner of Southerland Education Consulting, LLC, and is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. A native of Gasburg, VA, Sherol lives in Richmond, VA, and is the proud mother of Kenneth and LeCora, and grandmother of Kenzi and Brendan.
