About the author
Tristram Hooley is the Head of the International Centre for Guidance Studies at the University of Derby, UK; his research interests include careers education and guidance; life and work transitions; and new technologies.
Jane Wellens is Head of Researcher Development at the University of Nottingham, UK, responsible for leading the training and development of researchers across the university.
