Abandoned in Hell: The Fight For Vietnam's Firebase Kate

This book makes you feel that you are on Fire Base Kate on the receiving end of countless artillery explosions plus small arms fire with almost no sleep for multiple days at a time. The guts and determination of countless chopper pilots despite being shot full of holes and crashing on a regular basis was amazing. Their resupply missions under very heavy fire was the only reason that the fire base was able to stave off being over run and slaughtered. You will be unable to put this book down.

Excellent read. I am not an avid reader, but this book had my attention from the moment I got it in the mail. And to those who say the author was trying to make himself the story, obviously didn't take the time to read it. The book contains first hand accounts from the actual soldiers in the battle field, not stories from media or hearsay. Excellent 📖

I really liked this book. it tells us how things were going with our boys who fought our country,and how well trained thay were ,and good leaders that lead so few men against a larger force than there own.
