This was a mess. Too many characters, and too convoluted. Totally devoid of the charm that makes TMC so appealing. I gave up just over halfway through and won't be reading the next in this series. A real shame as I really wanted to like this.

This was a funny, small-town, globe-trotting, poignant, quintessentially British murder mystery. I loved all the characters, big and small. Can't wait for the next one.

Richard Osman is an author, producer and television presenter. His first four novels, The Thursday Murder Club, The Man Who Died Twice and The Bullet That Missed were multi-million-copy record-breaking bestsellers around the world. We Solve Murders is the first book in a new series featuring a family detective duo. He lives in London with his wife, Ingrid, and their cat Liesl.
