About this ebook

A Reese Witherspoon Book Club Pick and instant New York Times Bestseller.

'Marple meets Succession' – Sunday Times

'If rich terrible people behaving appallingly is your jam then The Club is the book for you!' – Marian Keyes

There’s no place like Home . . .

The Home Group is a collection of ultra-exclusive private members' clubs and a global phenomenon, and the opening of its most ambitious project yet – Island Home, a forgotten island transformed into the height of luxury – is billed as the celebrity event of the decade.

But as the first guests arrive, the weekend soon proves deadly – because it turns out that even the most beautiful people can keep the ugliest secrets and, in a world where reputation is everything, they'll do anything to keep it.

If your name's on the list, you're not getting out . . .

For fans of The White Lotus and Big Little Lies, Ellery Lloyd's The Club is an exhilarating, addictive read, telling a story of ambition, excess, and what happens when people who have everything - or nothing - to lose are pushed to their imit.

'One of the most riveting books I've read in a long time' – Louise Candlish, author of Our House

'Smart, topical and immensely entertaining' – T.M. Logan, author of The Holiday

'Glitzy and twisty and tons of fun' – Observer

A breathtaking and compelling read! Island Home is the very latest ‘celebrity getaway’ – and the jewel in the crown of the Home Group. Each location around the globe is a place where the rich and famous can relax in the utmost luxury with absolute privacy, and they pay a hefty sum for the privilege. As the opening weekend gets underway, the hierarchy attending have no idea what they have let themselves in for . . . There are many facets to this tale and I found myself completely engrossed in each of them right from the beginning. Through the eyes of a newly hired member of staff, we find out about the nuts and bolts of staffing the resort; next, we encounter the management and, finally, we get to meet the privileged few who made the cut for the launch – something that everyone who is anyone is desperate to attend. And then the fun begins . . . having lulled the reader into a false sense of security, we start to get a peek behind the scenes. Is anyone as they first seem? I’m not sure about that but what I do know is that I couldn’t put this one down! Not the first novel I’ve read by this husband and wife writing team and, based on the excitement of this one, it won’t be the last! Celebrity status doesn’t tend to overly impress me and I have a feeling it will do so even less from now on. This is a captivating tale which kept me on tenterhooks right to the bitter end. I read long into the night, well after I should have closed my eyes, incapable of laying the book aside for another day and I was delighted that the ending was so neat. The characters are excellently drawn, the story is completely mesmerizing and, as expected, the writing is of a very high calibre. A compelling, enthralling story which dominated my thoughts and earns my very highest recommendation and, of course, all five shining stars.
