Codi Gary is in spectacular form for the first book in her new Men in Uniform series, I NEED A HERO. Oliver Martinez has to do a stint in the Alpha Dogs Training Program because he stopped a bit too energetically his General’s son in a bar brawl. Oliver will be working in public relations, which is not his forte, but worst of all, his superior will be the General’s daughter, Evelyn Tate. Oliver is seriously attracted to Evelyn, who tries her hardest not to respond to Oliver’s advances; Evelyn has sworn to never get involved with a military man, but can she resist? I NEED A HERO is a lovely romance, where the characters have issues, but nothing is convoluted. Ms. Gary’s writing is very smooth, and so is the story. I really felt the chemistry between Oliver and Evelyn; in fact, everything rings true in I NEED A HERO. I have been a fan of Codi Gary for a good while, and I think this is her best book so far. I loved Oliver and Evelyn; they are very engaging characters, and you cannot but root for their Happy Ever After. I cannot wait for the next book in what promises to be a very exciting series! Brava, Ms. Gary! I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

An excellent start to what should be a great new series from this author. This is a quick fun read and was completely entertaining. I loved Oliver and Evelyn. Oliver is temporarily assigned to work with the Alpha Dogs Training Program and Evelyn is handling the PR for and upcoming fundraising event for the program. Having to work together may be more than either one can handle, or maybe it might be the best thing that ever happened to either one of them! This is a wonderfully written story and one I would recommend to everyone.

Codi Gary combined two of my favorite subjects in order to create an awesome story that is both informative and inviting. I love animals particularly dogs. These beautiful creatures play a central part in helping with worthy causes through the charity which brings the two main characters Eve and Oliver together. Eve is rebellious, guarded and wants to prove to herself and her father that she can take care of herself without his interference. Oliver is military down to his combat boots. When a random incident leaves him tasked with helping to plan a charity event, he starts to realize there may be more in store than just a life in fatigues. I Need a Hero supplies a fascinating close up look into a wonderful charity which leads to romance. Codi Gary crafted a read that appeals on so many levels. I received an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review. AM DOUBLING MY FIVE STAR REVIEW TO TEN!!!
