interesting and with locations similar to reality it becomes another detection to establish the estuary, the sea forts, the pirate station etc on which the novel has drawn, for us living in the approximate area. Good ending that kept me up trying to finish before sleep overcame me. My first book by Simon Beckett but probably not my last

The best quality is that he doesn't release novels too frequently and when he release it that would be great..!!

Simon Beckett has worked as a freelance journalist, writing for national newspapers and colour supplements. He is the author of four international bestselling crime thrillers featuring his forensic anthropologist hero, Dr David Hunter: The Chemistry of Death, Written in Bone, Whispers of the Dead and The Calling of the Grave. His other novels are Stone Bruises and Where There's Smoke.
