The book starts out not giving much feel for the character. Not much detail and life like it's skipped over and unimportant or cut short. By the next chapter however it's like another person has taken over the story and it becomes real. The story comes to life and is a wonderful read with details bringing it to vision within the readers mind. The ending however is brought up short like an axe has just brought it a mortal blow cutting the rest of a major story life short with so much more to say. Perhaps the writer was only given so many pages to write the story in and that would explain BOTH shortcomings in this story. If so I would wish they would see sense and give this woman her pages to write a full story because I can see she can be a wonderful writer from the rest of the book and I would be a happy fan of her novels.

Liked it from beginning to end. A very good read. Hopefully the next books in the series will live up to the standard this one set.
