About this ebook

'The new Hunger Games... ' Cosmopolitan

He never loved me. It was all a lie.
'The old Lena is dead,' I say, and then push past him. Each step is more difficult that the last; the heaviness fills me and turns my limbs to stone.
You must hurt, or be hurt.

An all-out uprising has been ignited and Lena Haloway is right at its centre.

But things have changed. The Wilds are no longer a safe haven for the rebels and pockets of resistance have opened throughout the country.

And when a face from her past reappears, Lena is faced with a devastating choice that could tear her and the revolution apart.

'Un-put-downable, a truly fantastic finale.' Guardian

Book 1 and book 2 were really great books and I was always so excited to read them. Then there's book 3...in my opinion I really disliked the story in this one, it just wasn't interesting and I found myself skimming alot of the time (especially in Hanna's POV). Overall kinda disappointed, and wishing the ending were better and 'that certain death' was upsetting and didn't seem necessary.

The first two books were decent, however was let down by the final instalment in the trilogy. In short, all plot lines in the book (yes every single one) felt like they were not summed up. What was the purpose of the love triangle? What happens to Hanna? What was the purpose of gaining Hanna's perspective when her story was incomplete? What happens after the wall is down? What happens beyond Portland? Why was it so suddenly easy to overrule the city when they're malnourished, dehydrated and lacking sleep and weapons? What was the point in any of it? It just felt like lazy writing at the end, which is super disappointing because the main theme (love=disease) had a lot to offer and would've made for a very interesting read had it been executed properly OR even had more time invested into exploring character arcs and plot lines. Guess that wasn't really a short review, but I am disappointed in how this series ended.

I cannot be asked to continue reading this very emotional trilogy . I don't want to imagine a world where Alex and Lena are not in love. I can't accept it ... screw you Lauren Oliver ... I love you aswell . Awesome writer but, I would love for there to be a different plot ....
