The review should include the epilogue that the Dennis Joseph case, which first resulted in a hung jury, and then resulted in a conviction, was reversed by the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit a couple of years ago. Ms. Good mentions the hung jury in a sentence or two, while trumpeting her so-called win in the second trial for page upon page. The conviction was based on a wildly inappropriate and illegal jury charge given by the judge to the jury-that's the only reason there was a conviction in the second trial.
After the conviction was set aside, Mr. Joseph pled to a non sex-related time, was given a sentence of time served and the case was resolved.
Ms. Good, contrary to her self-serving narrative was battered during cross examination in both trials, and the US Attorney, no doubt considered her lack of credibility and the bruising she took on the stand in deciding not to try Mr. Joseph a third time.
What a self-serving, self-indulgent book.
