About this ebook

In the arms of their strict, domineering men, two women find the courage to take back what was torn away.

But is Freedom Worth the Price?

Liz: It's been so long since I was free, and everything is overwhelming. But Jenny needs me, so I must push back on those lessons of meekness and submission, at least in public.

In private, Ryan is still the master of my heart.

But when Jenny is kidnapped, and Ryan is gravely injured, I desperately try to hold everything together, even as war erupts around us.

Jenny: I'm ready to reclaim my heritage, to become the ruler my people need. But I have to fight for every inch, and sometimes Michael's support feels tenuous.

When the madman who still hunts me makes one final, desperate move, my life falls into his hands.

Will anyone find me before my mind and body are shattered?

Excerpt:

“Jenny, out there, you are the Chairwoman of the Province of Orre, but here, in private, you are my wife, who did a very, very, stupid and dangerous thing, and who just four days ago gave me permission to punish her if I felt it necessary. It’s necessary.” Michael stared at her with those eyes that she remembered from her first day—those blue eyes that became dark and impenetrable when he was serious, that gave no room for negotiation. She closed her eyes in resignation; he was right, on all counts.

“Where?” she asked softly.

“In the bedroom, over the arm of the lounge chair.” She nodded and stood up to go into the room behind her.

“Ryan, would you like to have your wife observe Jenny’s punishment before she’s punished, too?”

Liz gasped and looked up at Ryan, but she shouldn’t be surprised. She could have—should have—told Jenny ‘no’, for all the reasons they had just talked about. Instead she sneaked out the door like a child.

He took her arm firmly but she wasn’t going to resist. “Why, yes, thank you, I would.” He walked her into the bedroom and Michael shut the door behind them all. Jenny was already bent over the stuffed arm of the chair.

“Liz,” Michael asked, “does Jenny deserve what she’s getting?”

Liz felt like a deer in the headlights.

“Liz, did Jenny risk your life through carelessness?”

“Um, I guess,” she whispered.

“Then would you please sit on the chair and hold her hands to keep her in place?”

She looked up to Ryan but found no sympathy there. Jenny looked up from where her head had dropped into the cushions. “Liz, it’s okay,” she said.

“Jenny, hush. Liz?”

Liz sat down on the wide chair and gathered Jenny’s hands between her own.

“No talking, hold tight, and if she pulls a hand away it doesn’t count.”

Liz nodded.

Michael pulled off his belt. At the sound, Jenny let out a small sob. Liz stroked her hand with her thumb, the only comforting she would be able to do.

About the author

For years I've written stories of power exchange and capture fantasies, hiding them in my computer, convinced I was alone in my desires.

My women are fierce and independent . They will not surrender until they are respected by the mates who claim their hearts as well as their submission.

Right now, I split my time between being mother, wife, overworked employee, and servant to the cat's every need. Most evenings will find me hiding in my office cave to write, where I only care about my internet signal and the strength of my coffee.
