Samantha's On the Case . . . Samantha Kidd has moved back to her hometown and is delighted when a retailer shows interest in hiring her as their handbag buyer. Unfortunately, the reason for the job opening is that the last buyer, Emily Hart, was murdered, and it would be helpful if Samantha could sort of investigate from the “inside” based on her “previous experience” with murder. Then just when Samantha phones Detective Loncar that she has solved the crime and knows who did it, he tells her general manager Belle DuChamp’s body was just found in the parking lot outside of Tradava. (Darn, that had been Samantha’s suspect!) Samantha needs to go back to her investigation and review the evidence again. Can she track down this murderer before she gets caught up in the danger or targeted to be silenced by the real murderer? I enjoyed reading this exciting book. The characters are well developed, likable, and engaging. The story line flowed smoothly from beginning to the end and kept the reader fully involved. Grab your copy and see if Samantha can finally figure this out!

Designer Bags and Statuettes This is the second book in this series and it is exciting. There is plenty of action, lots of red herrings, and many confusing theories. This cozy mystery is concerned with the fashion industry and takes place in Pennsylvania. This book may be a bit better than the first book. I think that a reader will enjoy it more if they read these books in order. I can't wait to read the next book.

Somehow, Samantha got involved herself involved in another mess. You would think after the last one, she would stop but no. I have a love/hate relationship with her. Incredibly funny but so ditzy. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
