About this ebook

Tough homicide detective Jake Morgan was a bah, humbug kind of guy. Getting injured in the line of duty wasn’t the worst thing that could have happened to him–no, it was being assigned as the police department’s Christmas Cop while he recovers. He wasn’t one to bring any feel-good feelings with kids. He had no idea what kids wanted for Christmas. And he sure to goodness didn’t want to be paired with a pink-hair, do-gooder who looked more like a kid herself than a software engineer.

When Shea O’Reilly is paired up with the man most likely to win the exact-opposite-of-Christmas-spirit award, she’s thrown. It’s her favorite holiday. And her best day would be to make a bunch of kids happy. How can she manage that with the disgruntled Mr. Scrooge she’ll be working with?

Christmas for children? Or a holiday miracle of love?

This is a sweet, clean Christmas novella that is touching and heartwarming. Detective Jake Morgan is a man dedicated to his job. A man whose childhood was spent in a children’s home after his parents died when he was very young. His memories of Christmas past are not those of happiness. Being on a disability leave , though working on cold cases, he’s assigned to be the Christmas Cop. A job that entails organizing and distributed gifts for the underprivileged kids. A job he doesn’t want. Shea O’Reilly , a computer wiz and owner of a program that’s being used in his police department, meets Jake while she’s trying to find a glitch in the program. She’s all about Christmas and takes it upon herself to help Jake. Not realizing that in doing so, she was also making new memories for him. Will the friendship and romance blossom between them be lasting, or will each go their own way after Christmas? Aside for a sweet story, it’s also a reminder that Christmas is about sharing and helping those in need. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

THE.CHRISTMAS..COP... ...Barbara..McMahon Shea was busy at her computer looking line by line on the code text. In the office it passed, on site for the police department it came ip with a glitch. She was working in a basement room by herself, when a cop with a broken ankle and cane stopped. Demanding of what she was doing there, was it the pink hair he didn't like. Also thinking she looked like a teenager and was playing games. He was back to work before he was really ready, and hope to have the cast off of his ankle by Christmas. The cops also named him as Santa this year to give out the presents for the kids, Working on cold cases wasn't too bad of an assignment. She wasn’t the distraction he thought, and little by little they were getting to know each other. She loved Christmas, and seeing a stocking she had hung for him, with memories of never having gotten one before. Replying, she said, stick with me, and you will have one each year. Cute story and how things change for Jake especially, meeting Shea brought him a lightness, and love of Christmas he didnt have before. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
