About this ebook

Vicki Myron follows up her #1 New York Times bestseller Dewey with stories of cats who inspire their owners and includes two brand-new Dewey stories! Dewey's Nine Lives offers nine funny, inspiring, and heartwarming stories about catsall told from the perspective of "Dewey's Mom," librarian Vicki Myron.

Dewey: The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World was a blockbuster bestseller and a publishing phenomenon. It has sold nearly a million copies, spawned three children's books, and will be the basis for an upcoming movie. No doubt about it, Dewey has created a community. Dewey touched readers everywhere, who realized that no matter how difficult their lives might seem, or how ordinary their talents, they can-and should-make a positive difference to those around them. Now, Dewey is back, with even more heartwarming moments and life lessons to share.

The amazing felines in this book include Dewey, of course, whose further never-before-told adventures are shared, and several others who Vicki found out about when their owners reached out to her. Vicki learned, through extensive interviews and story sharing, what made these cats special, and how they fit into Dewey's community of perseverance and love. From a divorced mother in Alaska who saved a drowning kitten on Christmas Eve to a troubled Vietnam veteran whose heart was opened by his long relationship with a rescued cat, these Dewey-style stories will inspire readers to laugh, cry, care, and, most importantly, believe in the magic of animals to touch individual lives.

THIS BOOK IS GOOD!!!! I GOT THE SAMPLE AND I JUST NOTICED THAT I CAN READ KINDA (BUT NOT REALLY) FAST I would like to thank my friends and family for guiding me along and inspiring me to achieve my goals. But, most of all, I would like to thank my 1000 pet cats. I know that's a strange number but i love each and every one of them. trust meh imnot a crazy cat lady plz i love degs too!!! My favorite cat has always been my black cat and i mean, I know black cats are meant to be bad luck and all but my cat has been anything BUT bad luck. The worst thing he ever did was walk on my keyboard and send an email to my boss saying "ih8 u". I forgive him tho. He helped me along my journey of reading books about cats. In fact, I own a cat that looks just like Dewey!!! Well, I used to. My cat is dead now. I guess 9 lives just waSN'T enough for him. My favorite part of the book was the cover. I kno that that is weird and stuff but srs jsut look at it. the cat had me staring at it for like 10 hdays before i ran out of food and died. I guess you could say *haha * that i died of cuteness!!! huehuehuehuehue i guess that all gingers, even the cat versions, are bad omens. - SORRY NOT SORRY keep up the gr8 work vicki Myron like seriously the cover was AMAZING im sure if you keep doing what you love best you will end up with the best cover in EXISTENCE! THIS BOOK IS A MNUST READ PLZ READ IT OR MY GHOST WILL HAUNT YOU --- Sasquatch
