The writing is very, very redundant. Topics and points are mentioned, and the re-mentioned and then driven directly into the ground. A character will make a remark, then another character will make the same observation, and then the author will once again reiterate the same exact point just in case you missed it the first SEVERAL times. The author must mention that a character who has Asperger's syndrome doesn't make eye contact very well at least 50 times. We get it, you researched one symptom and became an expert. The plot of the story would be great if the author owned a thesaurus and didn't reuse the same details/points over and over again.

I enjoyed the book especially as the plot was intriguing and kept you in suspense, without being able to expect what would happen next which is a great positive. On the negative side the storyline at the outset kept switching from present to past tense without any direction to the reader which made it confusing for the reader and a little off putting. I would imagine some readers may not have gone on to read the rest of the book. The book felt like it ended in the middle of the story.

The plot was interesting but without any big surprises. The writing was not great - lots of repetitive dialog that only served to up the word count. Would I read Book 2? Only if it was free...
