About this ebook

In the #1 New York Times bestselling Mercy Thompson novels, the coyote shapeshifter has found her voice in the werewolf pack. But when Mercy’s bond with the pack—and her mate—is broken, she’ll learn what it truly means to be alone...

Attacked and abducted in her home territory, Mercy finds herself in the clutches of the most powerful vampire in the world, taken as a weapon to use against alpha werewolf Adam and the ruler of the Tri-Cities vampires. In coyote form, Mercy escapes—only to find herself without money, without clothing, and alone in the heart of Europe...

Unable to contact Adam and the rest of the pack, Mercy has allies to find and enemies to fight, and she needs to figure out which is which. Ancient powers stir, and Mercy must be her agile best to avoid causing a war between vampires and werewolves, and between werewolves and werewolves. And in the heart of the ancient city of Prague, old ghosts rise...

I have read every single book by this author and was so looking forward to continuation of Mercy and Adam's story. Unfortunately, this book was not a page turner. The story does not flow, it is not imaginative, and I had to skip paragraphs at times due to boring descriptions. I've noticed that the author kept reiterating the same things over and over again and it felt like she just tried to fill the pages. This is one of my favourite series! Maybe it's time to wrap it up before further story telling doesn't do it justice anymore.

I hate giving this a low rating as I LOVE the mercy Thompson series but this one leaves something to be desired. For lack of a better word, it was boring. It droned on with unnecessary monologs and details. There wasn't a whole lot of anything happening and I felt like Mercy was barely in it. The worst book of the series thus far. I really hope the style with which she wrote the book stops with this one. It felt like a reach for page numbers, and IMO did nothing for the story. What a shame.

Mercy is a character that I can easily find myself becoming as I lose myself after a hard day/night on the job as a diesel mechanic myself.... also I am ALWAYS finding myself in some of the confounded messes...now if I could just find me a hunk of Alpha male I'd beset....lol thanks again for a great read can't wait for your next one..
