About this ebook

Wear just 33 items for 3 months and get back all the JOY you were missing while you were worrying what to wear.

In Project 333, minimalist expert and author of Soulful Simplicity Courtney Carver takes a new approach to living simply--starting with your wardrobe. Project 333 promises that not only can you survive with just 33 items in your closet for 3 months, but you'll thrive just like the thousands of woman who have taken on the challenge and never looked back. Let the de-cluttering begin!

Ever ask yourself how many of the items in your closet you actually wear? In search of a way to pare down on her expensive shopping habit, consistent lack of satisfaction with her purchases, and ever-growing closet, Carver created Project 333. In this book, she guides readers through their closets item-by-item, sifting through all the emotional baggage associated with those oh-so strappy high-heel sandals that cost a fortune but destroy your feet every time you walk more than a few steps to that extensive collection of never-worn little black dresses, to locate the items that actually look and feel like you. As Carver reveals in this book, once we finally release ourselves from the cyclical nature of consumerism and focus less on our shoes and more on our self-care, we not only look great we feel great-- and we can see a clear path to make other important changes in our lives that reach far beyond our closets. With tips, solutions, and a closet-full of inspiration, this life-changing minimalist manual shows readers that we are so much more than what we wear, and that who we are and what we have is so much more than enough.

I discovered Project 333 before the book's publication, but I especially appreciate the extra details & resources in the book. I really really love that so many other creators were shared all throughout the book. My critique is the cliche moments in the book. I just glanced over them and went straight to the substance. It might be fine for most, but I read a lot of self help books and some parts felt way too generic. Thoughts & Jots: • Sustainable Fashion Facts • upcycling creators, resources, and ideas • adding music to a playlist instead of clothes to a wardrobe - I absolutely love this idea. • "My home is simple. My wardrobe is neutral and my calendar is often empty, but my life is full of color, adventure, creativity, and love." - This quote struck a cord with me. • "Project 333 is a shopping fast and a fashion fast in the sense that for three months you are giving up shopping and thinking about all things shopping and fashion." - I've never considered this concept of a fashion fast. When I first heard of capsule wardrobes many years ago, I enjoyed the challenge of being fashionable with limited options. I thoroughly enjoyed playing dressup and seeing how many outfit combinations I could come up with. However, I think Project 333 has a different point that I never considered in past capsule wardrobes. Although I love playing dressup, I think a unique factor of this "fashion fast" is that I truly stop in order to let other things flow into my life, removing the factor temporarily for self analysis. Like when you get tested for allergies in your diet. Remove everything, and slowly add in new foods so that you're able to fully analyze your diet. • I loved the lists of other creators and their choices for 33 items • 25,176 = number of unique outfits = 69 years of COMPLETELY DIFFERENT OUTFITS

It's a nice book with a good plan for decluttering life, but starting with clothes. It's a bit repetitive, but the price is good. The author's idea is life changing if you give it a try.

I thought I knew everything there was to know about Project 333 from social media but this book told me otherwise!! It is a great resource for anyone wanting to dip their toe into living a more minimalist life...she gives you easy to digest methods and shares how her journey into minimalism started. Although my anxiety at this point won’t allow me to divest my closet of EVERYTHING I am not wearing (it will just lead me to shop even more), I agree with 99% of what she suggests. Great easy read too!!
