Dead Simple: Meet Roy Grace in This Pulse-Pounding Crime Thriller from the Multimillion-Copy Bestselling Author

English: as usual, I picked up a book from unknown author to me and started to read in hope of finding another great mystery/crime/thriller novel and this time I was lucky too. I really liked the plot and the detective works explained throughout the book. it was actually a mixture of crime, abduction and betrayal that has a little bit taste of supernatural at the end. despite that I don't like to read anything about supernatural, this part of the book was very short and didn't affect the whole story, so it can be easily ignored. I didn't find any irrelative sub-plot inside the book and all of the things were about the main plot which was well-written and organized. I liked the first book in the author's Roy Grace series and I will read more in the future; he is among my favorite authors list now. This is my first time to read a Peter James novel, and I have instantly become a fan. He writes more like an American, with few distinctly British terms and phrases, which makes the novel easier to read for me. Straight-to-the-point prose with little time spent on wordy descriptions and boring side stories. Very unique plot with surprising twists and turns. And a hero with plenty of character flaws and baggage. Loved it!

Fantastically well paced, unique characters and an all-round excellent story. This was my first Peter James book and now I can't wait to read the rest of the Roy Grace series. It's probably one of the best crime thriller books I've read.
