About this ebook

A most proper earl. A not-so-proper heiress. A match fit for a fairytale.

Leopold Graham never expected to inherit his earldom so soon—or the massive debt his father saddled the title with. Forced to leave behind his pursuit of hedonistic pleasure and instead pursue a suitable, wealthy heiress, Leo sees nothing but a long, dull future ahead of him.
Ivy Leighton may be a wealthy heiress, but she’s definitely not suitable. Her exotic Romani roots are cause for scorn amongst most of high society. Not that Ivy minds overmuch. She’s too independent and free spirited to worry about things like that. Then she meets Leo . . . and her mind conjures all sorts of delicious trouble they could indulge in together. She just needs to convince him that sometimes a little scandal can lead to a lifetime of happiness.

An Earl by Any Other Name is book one in the Sins and Scandals series. This story is set in the Edwardian era just prior to World War I, when the aristocracy in England was undergoing drastic change. Many in the ruling class in Britain were struggling to keep up their family estates while the workers poured into the cities and left the farms behind. Leopold is one of those aristocrats fighting to maintain his family’s estate. I liked this romance.

Leopold, the Earl of Hampton, is in need of money for his family home, Hampton House. Even though he has a young lady in his sight to marry, his mother has other plans. Ivy's mother was the maid for the Dowager Countess of Hampton. After her mother died, Ivy's father took her away and raised her changing her last name to Leighton. Leo's mother invites Ivy and her father to their houseparty. Only Leo doesn't recognize Ivy. Old ties never die, when Leo and Ivy discover each other. A novella with heat and an Earl who learns a lesson in equality. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
