My first Kernicks book and I totally enjoyed it. Just when the tension and climax starts to drop it lifts up again with more suspense and drama and just keeps you wanting more. The pace was excellent and the details of the characters was good enough to give you an insight and let you imagine the rest. He manages to depict the surroundings quite well and you are able to visualize and see everything form the view of each character. The way the individual characters fit into the master piece is magical. One by one all those individual characters you read about contribute to and interact in amazing fashion to make this book an awesome read.
