What a sweet, heartwarming romance! This is one of those rare books that turned out to be so much more than I was expecting. We get the third-person points of view from all three principle characters, and it's not a tawdry or acrimonious story at all. Chester is a man on a mission, resolved to make things right with Beckett and he's not above using Cora to accomplish his plans, making him the real hero of this story. Beckett is an honorable man with years of hurt and disappointment to overcome, inexplicably drawn to Cora by both her inner and outer beauty. Cora's backstory went so much deeper than I expected, and having the story culminate with her family was absolutely priceless. I was swept away by the heart of this story with no villains in sight, just one very devious matchmaker! There's enough heat in the reunion scene to set the whole story on fire, and the you-can-have-your-cake-and-eat-it-too HEA was sheer perfection. Beck and Cora's story gave me a lasting case of the warm and fuzzies, and I highly recommend it. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This is an entertaining story about family relationships and a budding love story. Beck returns home after a long absence to see his dad, who is recovering from a stroke, and meet his dad's nurse, Cora. He is almost immediately entranced by Cora, but doesn't trust women and is leery of her relationship with his dad. Father and son barely have a relationship, so Cora does her best to mend their relationship until the dad throws a wrench into that plan. All this is while she's dealing with family angst of her own with her family in the Philippines, as her grandmother is ill and their desperate need for money impacts her ability to pursue her own dreams I thoroughly enjoyed this romance, that is a bit sweet and a bit spicy. I particularly enjoyed the grand gesture - which was both funny and sweet. Both Cora and Beck are compelling characters that made me feel invested in their story and wanting them to get their HEA ending. If you're a fan of the genre, you will love this book. The author is on my must read authors' list.
