The much-acclaimed viral sensation from Olivie Blake, The Atlas Sixnow newly revised and edited with additional content—is the first in an explosive dark academia fantasy trilogy that reads like The Secret History meets The Umbrella Academy

Each decade, only the six most uniquely talented magicians are selected to earn a place in the Alexandrian Society, the foremost secret society in the world. The chosen will secure a life of power and prestige beyond their wildest dreams.

But at what cost?

Each of the six newest recruits has their reasons for accepting the Society’s elusive invitation. Some promise, but gets far too bogged down in rehashing the same emotional loops over and over. In fact there's very little story, setting, or even magic in this book. It's almost entirely a 6 character locked room experiment, or as Sartre put it, 6 people in hell. Except there's no obvious reason for any of them to be the way they are, and none of them are interesting, let alone likable. Final straw, while there's no plot, the end is entirely a cliffhanger. So far unimpressed.

normally the beginning is meh while you get to know the characters and then it becomes good... this was the other way around. The beginning was okey but then at page 130 I gave up. it was so promising and fell so flat.

I loved this book. The characters are all unique and well-written and I really felt I got to know them. The ending was unexpected and had me impatiently waiting for the sequel.
