I'm thoroughly impressed with this book! Saw it in the sale section and gave it a shot. Loved it immediately. I fell in love with the characters as fast as I fell in love with the writing style. The storyline was beautiful, had a wonderful introduction and carried all the way to the end with sickening anticipation and surrealism. I look forward to the new book.

I adored this story. At 40, it's become much more difficult to find a story that allows, demands, a sense of wonder, an 'if you but dare to look beneath' feeling. This story accomplished that and I am grateful.

Enthralling and completely delightful and well, full of wonderment! I thoroughly enjoyed this series. Definitely looking into this author more! Don't delay getting these books. I toyed with the thought for a while and eventually gave in and purchased them. I'm so very glad that I did! They read easy but are written beautifully.

C. Robert Cargill is the author of Dreams and Shadows and Queen of the Dark Things. He has written for Ain’t it Cool News for nearly a decade under the pseudonym Massawyrm, served as a staff writer for Film.com and Hollywood.com, and appeared as the animated character Carlyle on Spill.com. He is a cowriter of the horror films Sinister and Sinister 2, and Marvel’s Dr. Strange. He lives with his wife in Austin, Texas.
