While Mercy is under the influence of Oblivion she bites and drains numerous humans thinking she has killed them when Sebastian, a hunter turned sentinel, saves her. In the meantime, Oblivion has "jumped ship" for the most part and taken over several packs of werewolves to cause more chaos. This story has plenty of action, ending on a somewhat happy note. Very highly recommended. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Bloody Brilliance is absolutely engrossing. Mercy is at her vampire witch best, casting spells, kicking butt, and cracking snarky jokes in the middle of it all. This book sees her dealing with the fallout from the two dragons that came back to earth with her. We meet some new characters, including Sebastian, a sexy sentinel, and we catch back up with some familiar faces. As you would expect from this series, Bloody Brilliance has explosive action and high stakes balanced by snark and humor.

Ruled by the dragon! Mercy and Calivion are out of control and on a mission to dominate the city. Most of the time Mercy is happy with the way everything is going. She’s finally in control. Occasionally she has a glimpse of her old self and regrets her actions but Calivion quickly retakes control through her blood lust. She is beginning to realize she isn’t as much in control as she thought she was. Awesome battles! Dragons, werewolves, vampires, fae…it’s perfect!
