4.25⭐ Dark 'N' Deadly was an exciting, intriguing absorbing, well paced tale. That had suspense and mystery. Not to mention a little action. As well as likable characters who, are the complete opposite of each other. But that didn't stop them falling in love, and I loved how it all played out, and the fact that it wasn't easy, and that they both had big obstacles to overcome. Not just in personality, but with the secrets Tess kept to keep her brother Jesse safe and out of prison. And I was totally engaged throughout. So much, so, I found it exceedingly hard to put this story down, and I would happily recommend it to others. **I was kindly provided with an ARC via Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest review**

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and I also purchased a copy. I just LOVE this series. The alpha K-9 men along with their dogs are federal agents. The series follows the group as they meet their significant others. The stories are just filled with suspense and intrigue while we watch the characters also fall in love. The plot of this story just grabbed me right from the beginning. Eric Miller is a special agent with the ATF. He stops a young man driving a truck on the road. In the back of the truck, are several drums. During the arrest, Tiger, Eric's K-9, alerts Eric to presence of a chemical. Tiger has been trained to alert to chemical agents used to build bombs. Jesse's, sister comes to bail him out. Eric comes face-to-face with Tess McTavish again. They had previously met (in the prior story). Eric knew that Tess was a special woman then and he was committed to never marry as he is so determined to track down a heinous man so he left. Eric is seeking revenge against the murder of three of his best friends who he went to law enforcement school with. Eric has a feeling as to who is behind the transporting of the fertilizer, Harley Gant. The same man who is behind his best friends murder. When he questions Tess and Jesse if they know Gant, both deny any knowledge of the man. Unbeknownst to Eric, Gant is their step-father. What follows is a fast paced intrigue. In the various events throughout the book, Eric and Tess stop denying their feelings for each other. Tess is just so afraid that Eric will turn away from her once the truth of her past is revealed. I adored reading this book. It is written in my favorite dual POV format. Seeing into the characters' thoughts really humanized them and drew me closer to them. The plot was very well written. I could picture the scenes as if I was watching a movie. This is a spicy book so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone under the age of 18. This is not erotica by any means but it may offend some who prefer just reading clean romances. While this book is a part of the series and the men all appear in the books, this can be read as a stand-alone. I would highly recommend starting at the beginning though as the first two books were just as fabulously written as well.

I lost "Dark 'N' Deadly" with a computer crash and a kindle replacement. That being said, I recently was able to retrieve many of my lost books, and so rereading Eric, Tess, and Tiger's story, I fell in love with them all over again. Knowing what Tess had been through and what her brother Jesse was facing was heart wrenching. As ATF agent, Eric and his canine Tiger come face to face with the most horrible time in Eric's life, the story escalates to frantic proportions as they try to avoid another catastrophic event. The connections between all of them tells a story that is page turning drama with secrets revealed, as the clock starts ticking down to another disaster. A romantic suspense story that is fast paced that finds a HEA for everyone is what reading great stories is all about. "Dark 'N' Deadly" is one such story. **I was gifted a copy by NetGalley & Entangled Pub.** My review is voluntary and based on reading. 5 Stars!
