The Price of Valor starts out exciting and mysterious, which I loved, but also depressing because of the ruined marriage between Signe and Ham. It felt hard to continue reading past the first chapter until it got more upbeat in the second chapter with a marriage proposal. After that, I finished the book very quickly because of the intriguing plot and mysterious clues. There are a lot of ups and downs with several relationships in this novel. It made it more interesting to see realistic fears and worries about each person’s romantic feelings.

This is book three in the Global Search and Rescue Series. It is somewhat of a stand alone book, however you miss a lot of history that adds so much meaning to this book. Therefore I would suggest reading book one, The way of the Brave, and book two, The heart of a hero first. They are all good reads and you will enjoy this book even more by reading them in order. We reconnect with the Global search and Rescue team, this series does have specific people that each book will center around, however they really focus on the entire team and many different aspects of the many characters. I really enjoy reconnecting with this entire team. Book three focus' on the handsome former Navy SEAL Hamilton Jones. He is still in love with his wife, Signe Kincaid, even though he has thought her dead for many years. Ham and Sig have many battles to face and overcome before they can actually see if they have a second chance. This book is full of suspense, mystery, drama, romance and so much more. I can see this series made into a TV series. I am not sure if there are anymore books left in this series or not but I would enjoy reading more about this team.
